Knicks Opening Day

Listen
On Wednesday, the New York Knicks tipped off their 2005-2006 season at Boston's TD Banknorth Garden against the Celtics. The team hopes to improve upon last year's 33 and 49 regular season record and find its way back into the NBA playoffs with help from a new/old head coach and an oft-criticized General Manager. Only A Game's Gabe O'Connor reports.

Dance Faster!

Listen
Bavarian Folk Dancers limited to just 45 seconds at the World Cup.

Jaunt in the Joint

Listen
For a small group of inmates at the Charle Bass Correctional Complex in Nashville, Tennessee, distance running offers freedom. In fall and spring, prisoners can run side-by-side with "freeworlders", volunteers from a Nashville runner's club. Reporter Kim Green has our report from the annual Jaunt in the Joint.

Bode: Go Fast, Be Good, Have Fun

Listen
Bode Miller has always been a more complex character than the title of his book suggests. Bill Littlefield speaks with Miller about skiing, philosophy, and his new book.

Saints and More with Charlie Pierce

Listen
Bill Littlefield and Only A Game analyst Charlie Pierce discuss: Tom Benson proves he's no saint, NHL fans return, and a cow covers the spread.

Letters

Listen
Bill Littlefield reads from the Only A Game mailbox.

Curling Calendar

Listen
Over the years, the sport of curling has received little attention and even less financial support. Professional photographer and curling enthusiast Ana Arce is trying to change all that. She's raising money for a number of women's curling teams, by encouraging some of their more beautiful and brave members to pose nude in the Ana Arce Team Sponsorship Calendar 2006. We'll talk to Arce from her home in Andorra.

This program aired on November 5, 2005.
