Unfortunately, there's not much good news to report regarding the NBA lockout or when we can expect to have the season back. Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated sheds some light on the current situation.

The lockout went into unknown territory on Monday when NBA players rejected the league's best offer so far, then disbanded its players association. Now, the potential for long-term damage seems much greater as Monday's decision means lawyers and courts could determine if a 2011-12 season is staged.

"Right now the owners seem pretty inclined to go backwards on their offer. It's not looking good," says Amick. "The reality is these guys are not sitting at the table. The games are falling off the docket...the owners I don't think are going to approve the offer and really right now that's the only way a season takes place."

This segment aired on November 19, 2011.
