Robert Rubin

Robert Rubin helped steer the U.S. economy during the Clinton boom years as director of the National Economic Council, and then as treasury secretary. Now, from the sidelines, he's grown very concerned about President Bush's economic plan.

Robert Rubin, Treasury Secretary from 1995 to 1999 and director of the National Economic Council from 1993-1995. He spent 26 years at Goldman Sachs, rising to co-senior partner. He is now chairman of the executive committee at Citigroup.
