President Bush kicked off his bid for a second term, making the case for war and his sincerity in an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press." Presenting himself as a steady at the helm leader, President Bush said "the most solemn responsibility of an American president is to keep this country secure."

The interview covered hot-button issues including Mr. Bush's record in the National Guard and decision to go to war with Iraq.
