With an estimated billion dollars in annual revenues, Google is at the head of the pack in search. In addition to being the number one search engine on the web, Google also has the distinction of being one of the few companies to have its name used as a verb. The Google Search tool has shaped the way we interact with the web, and now the company is positioning itself to go public, and nip the competition in the bud.
