Michael Medved's Right Turns

Conservative talk-show radio host Michael Medved grew up on the left side of the tracks. He campaigned for Bobby Kennedy and got out the vote for George McGovern.

By the 1980s however, the once-60s liberal had embraced Orthodox Judaism and the right wing of the Republican Party. Medved describes himself now as a theocon.

America's center of political gravity has moved from blue to red. And so has Medved. The left, he says, is pursuing a "No" frontier and giving Americans a "No" deal. George W. Bush instead, Medved argues, pushes a vision that's winning.
