The 2009 National Book Awards were announced in New York last week, and historian T.J. Stiles won for his biography "The First Tycoon: The Epic Life of Cornelius Vanderbilt."  Tom spoke with Stiles--and On Point's own Jack Beatty--in May about Cornelius Vanderbilt's rise as America's first, great capitalist.
