VIDEO: Our Wildly Diverse World

We're keeping an eye out for video and images that convey the sheer variety of life and environmental conditions around the globe, and this one from Mali is just amazing. The BBC, which produced the footage, says this of the event: "On one day of the year the Dogon people of Mali can fish in the sacred water of Lake Antogo. It's every fisherman for himself as the lake is emptied in minutes."
