The first performance of Nickel Creek was at pizza place in Carlsbad, California.  The two youngest of the trio were eight years old.  They grew up on fiddle and guitar and mandolin.  Into bluegrass and beyond.  Went platinum with a little help from Allison Kraus.  Got a Grammy.  Thrilled crowds all over.  Then went their separate ways.  Now they’re back together, with a great sound.  This hour, On Point:  we’re live with Nickel Creek.
