Obama Taps Merrick Garland As Supreme Court Nominee

Despite a near-unified opposition effort by Senate Republicans, President Barack Obama named Chief Washington D.C. U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Merrick Garland as his nominee for the next U.S. Supreme Court Justice today. We were joined by legal scholars Randy Barnett and Jeffrey Rosen to discuss the nomination, its chances of success and the President's election year logic.
