Less than 1 percent of the delegates at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland this week are black. Parson Hicks, an alternate at-large delegate, is.

Tuesday night, the 34-year-old from Boston got the honor of announcing how Massachusetts' delegates voted in the state-by-state roll call that officially made Donald Trump the party's nominee.

Hicks joined WBUR's All Things Considered to discuss why she's supporting Trump.
