Chicago is known as the "Windy City," but on Monday we proved Boston is windier. Case closed? Hardly. Our alert and informed listeners wrote and called in to say that Chicago's nickname has political, not meteorological, origins. We get a firm answer from eminent Chicago historian Dominic Pacyga of Columbia College.
