After taking the weeklong Independence Day vacation to think it over, U.S. Sen. Scott Brown has announced his intention to vote for the financial overhaul bill.

The passage of the landmark legislation now looks promising. But Brown's support did not come freely — Democratic lawmakers have made significant changes to the bill to win over the Massachusetts Republican. We look at what exactly those changes mean for financial regulation.
