Economic questions loomed large this week, both nationally and close to home. U.S. Sen. Scott Brown once again made good on his promise to work across the aisle, being one of only three Republicans in the Senate to vote for a sweeping financial reform bill. Gov. Deval Patrick seized on new state job numbers to bolster his claim the state economy is rebounding. And the effort to open a whole new industry in the state — casino gambling — has become unsnarled in Beacon Hill politics. Our week-in-review panel discuss this week’s big stories.

Guests:

  • Peter Canellos, editorial page editor for the Boston Globe
  • Susan Tracy, media strategist and former state representative

This program aired on July 16, 2010.
