The Boston Camerata, an early music ensemble, was founded in 1954. Well-known for its Christmas programs, the Camerata has decided to mix things up this year by starting the season with a production of "The Sacred Bridge."

"The Sacred Bridge" blends medieval music from Muslims, Christians and Jews, and includes Camerata singers, as well as musicians from Boston's Sharq Arabic Music Ensemble. Later in the season, the Camerata will return with a more traditional program, "An American Christmas."

We listen to music from both programs and talk about the relevance of early music in our lives today.
