Red Sox Welcome Adrian Gonzalez

After a big weekend trade, Red Sox Nation has its newest member.

General Manager Theo Epstein introduced slugger Adrian Gonzalez in a news conference on Monday. Epstein called the first baseman a "total package."

"He brings a potent left-handed bat in the middle of the line-up, great plate discipline and power — he does just about everything you want to see a hitter do," Epstein said. "He's a plus fielder, great clubhouse guy and a strong community presence."

WBUR's Jeremy Bernfeld was at Fenway and looks ahead to what Gonzalez's acquisition means for the Red Sox.
