Weekend Of Violence Ends, Prevention Effort Continues
ResumeThe July Fourth holiday was an especially violent one in Boston, with 13 shooting and stabbings which left four dead and nine injured throughout the city.
The long-weekend of violence is over, but the effort to stem the bloodshed continues.
Today, the city annouced two efforts designed to reduce summer violence. One is a jobs program for young people, and the other brings attention to particularly problematic properties in the city; houses and buildings where violence is prevalent.
We'll talk to community leaders and violence intervention experts about continued effort to prevent violence in the city.
