After much hot-headed debate on both sides of the political spectrum, Congress has finally passed a bill to raise the debt ceiling.

Along with this compromise, Congress has also agreed to cut entitlement programs in order to pay down the deficit, and establish a bipartisan committee to determine additional ways to reduce the nation's debt.

Matt Viser, national political reporter for The Boston Globe, joins us from Capitol Hill where he has been reporting on the debt ceiling debate.
