Why Did Opera Boston Lower The Curtain For Good?
ResumeIt was a shock to many when the city's second largest professional opera company, Opera Boston, announced it would shutter its doors at the end of 2011. On Dec. 23, 2011, the board announced that the company would close its doors due to a $500,000 budget deficit.
