Mitt Romney is rich. That is not news, but until today, Romney had refused to release his tax documents, which show just how rich he actually is.

In the last two years, Romney and his wife claimed an income of over $20 million a year — most of that in investment income — so his effective tax rate hovers at around 15 percent, far less than the rate most Americans pay, and well below the rate of his Republican competitor, Newt Gingrich.
