More: The play is set in the seaside resort of Summertown — a stand-in for Provincetown — where everyone seems to be fixated on hunky Tom, the baker of some irresistible cupcakes, which are illegal to sell on the street.

Price: $8-$10, Brattle Theatre passes are OK.

More: So bad it's good? If there were no internet this never would have happened, but there is and it is and it is nothing if not silly.

More: You might know him as Bootsy, Bootzilla or the way he refers to himself these days, Casper the Funky Ghost. He’s just about always wearing star-shaped sunglasses and in the song “Bootzilla” he calls himself a “rhinestone rock star monster of a doll.” Expect a mélange of hard funk, psychedelia, crooning ballads, sassy songs about the ladies and musings about extraterrestrials.

Where:  Peabody Essex Museum in Salem

When: Opens Saturday, June 9 with docent-led gallery tours at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

More:  Adams was fascinated with water in all of its forms, and this exhibit will feature over 100 photographs, including his very first shot, which he took at the age of 14.
