The next round of our Zip Code Stories project is in full swing. This is Radio Boston's collaboration with The Drum Literary Magazine where we ask you to write a 500-word story that captures an essence of your neighborhood.
We pick one story each round to feature on our show, and in this round, your story must begin with:
"She saw something at the water's edge and..."
And you take it from there! Some of our listeners have already taken us up on the challenge, and one writer began his story, "She saw something at the water’s edge. Startled, she jump back and screamed, 'Dad!!'"
Another listener writes "She saw something at the water’s edge and, as she went to reach for it, tumbled over the fence."
How will your story continue? You have until July 31st at 10PM EST to decide. All Massacshuetts zip codes are welcome.

This segment aired on July 10, 2012.
