Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, released a new television ad on July 12, accusing President Obama of spreading dishonest attacks.

The ad comes on the same day the Boston Globe published a front-page story reporting that Romney stayed on as CEO of Bain Capital for three years longer than he had previously claimed. The timing of his departure is a source of contention on the campaign trail — because it raises questions if Romeny was at Bain when some of its companies went bankrupt and laid off workers.
