Many kids on their summer vacations are lounging by the pool, off at summer camp, or working a part time job at the local ice cream shop.

Not Shelby Sebring of  Hancock, Massachusetts, who spent part of her summer cracking an 18th century code that no one had ever deciphered before. Sebring completed this project while working as an intern at the Bidwell House Museum in Monterey, Massachusetts.
