N.H. Journalist Missing In Syria
ResumeWar correspondent James Foley has reported from some of the most dangerous places in the world. In 2012, Foley was taken hostage in Libya while working for the Boston-based GlobalPost.
On Thanksgiving Day, he was captured by an unknown group of gunmen in Syria. Wednesday afternoon, Foley's parents — who live in Rochester, New Hampshire — called publicly for his release, after weeks of keeping the news a secret for their son's own safety.
Charles Sennott, executive editor and co-founder of GlobalPost, joins Radio Boston to talk about Foley and the incredibly dangerous year it has been for journalists around world.
