U.S. District Judge Richard Stearns issued a pretrial decision Monday, preventing James "Whitey" Bulger's defense team from presenting evidence of a supposed immunity agreement to the jury.

Bulger is accused of participating in 19 murders in the 1970s and 1980s.

His defense team has claimed that Bulger was granted immunity — immunity for not only crimes he had already committed, but for future crimes leading up to and including murder.
