Bad Rabbits was among the New England artists honored at the Boston Music Awards on Sunday, taking home the title of "Artist of the Year."

Their music is reminiscent of classic R&B, with shades of disco. But it's not so easy to classify. It's kick-back party music — a blend of R&B, rock, funk, and maybe something else, as well.

But whatever you call it, Bad Rabbits are hugely popular, opening for the likes of the Wu-Tang Clan and John Legend. They stopped by our studios recently to talk about their debut album, American Love.

Bad Rabbits are performing at The Sinclair in Cambridge on Dec. 31.
