Supporters of legislation that would raise the cap on the state's charter schools gathered at the Statehouse today.

There is an increasing demand for enrollment in charter schools. According to the Massachusetts Charter Public School Association, more than 13,000 students have entered the charter schools' lottery for about 2,000 spots.
