DA Turns Over Gloucester Investigation To AG, U.S. Attorney

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey and U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz are now reviewing the investigation into former Gloucester Police Chief Leonard Campanello.

The Essex districtattorney says that he has completed his review of Campanello's city-owned cellphone and has turned over matters to the attorney general and U.S. attorney.

Campanello is nationally known for the program he started in Gloucester where police help those struggling with substance use get into treatment.

We'll also be discussing some of the other cases making headlines this week including the case of 4-year old Jeremiah Oliver and a new ruling regarding mandatory minimum prison sentences.
