CommonHealth: New Recommendations On Newborns And Sleep

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAS) on Monday announced updated recommendations on newborns and sleep, in order to better prevent sudden infant death syndrome, or SIDS.

The academy has acknowledged that parents often fall asleep while feeding newborns and is now saying that if you do fall asleep with your baby, evidence suggests it's safer to fall asleep in your adult bed than in a sofa or armchair.
