The official death toll from the attacks on the London Bridge has now risen to eight. Earlier today authorities recovered the body of an individual believed to have been a victim of the terrorist attack.

The three attackers used a van to mow over pedestrians as they walked along the London Bridge. The attack, known as a vehicle ramming attack, follows a pattern of recent incidents in Europe and the United States.

Writing in The Atlantic, Colin Clarke and Louis Klarevas warn that similar attacks will become more frequent as ISIS loses territory in Syria and Iraq.
