State Reacts To Trump's Ending Of Protected Status For Salvadorans

The Trump Administration has ended deportation protection for nearly 200,000 Salvadorans who have lived in the U.S. since 2001.

Salvadorans will have until September 9 of next year to leave the U.S. or obtain legal residency.

There are nearly 55,000 Salvadorans in Massachusetts, including 6,000 who currently hold Temporary Protected Status — also known as TPS.
