All 3 UMass Boston Chancellor Finalists Withdraw After Faculty Outcry

The three finalists vying to become the next chancellor of UMass Boston abruptly withdrew from consideration Monday, after public criticism from faculty members and a faculty statement that called all three candidates unqualified for the job.

University of Massachusetts President Marty Meehan says he will not reopen the search and defended what he says was an "exhaustive, rigorous" process.
