With the primary election on Tuesday, we preview three important Democratic congressional primaries around the state.

In the 1st district, Tahirah Amatul-Wadud, a Springfield attorney, is challenging longtime incumbent Richard Neal, who has been in Congress since 1989.

The 3rd district is the only race with an open seat, as Congresswoman Niki Tsongas will be retiring this year. There are 10 Democratic candidates running to replace her, which has made for incredibly crowded and chaotic field.

Plus, in the 7th district, Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley is up against incumbent Congressman Michael Capuano. A WBUR poll from the beginning of August found that Capuano had a 13-point lead over Pressley.

What will the final get out the vote push look like in all three races?
