The Red Sox' World Series hopes grew a little brighter after they beat the Houston Astros on the road Tuesday night, taking a 2-1 series lead.

The Celtics also opened their season with an exclamation point on Tuesday, decisively beating the Philadelphia 76ers at the Garden.

And the Boston Globe is out with a new investigative series into the life of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, with interviews that reveal previously unknown details about the troubled player's childhood and adolescence.
