We in the Bay State live in an odd commonwealth, and our
odd museums reflect our eccentricity. Museums of unusual and
bizarre collections are the product of a line of thinking
that says everything is precious and worthy of a pedestal,
as long as someone believes it is.
When people talk about their collections, they're speaking
about their passions, about what they work on when they're
not at work. They're talking about the contents of their minds.
What they collect is almost immaterial. That they collect
is the reason for this Strange Museum series. Admission
is free.
This series was reported by Bob
Oakes and produced by Sean Cole.
