Modernity's Usable Pasts

This week's show featured a lecture sponsored by the Luce Program in Scripture and Literary Arts at Boston University. The speaker was will be 2007 Luce Visiting Assistant Professor, Dr. Kristin Schwain.

Dr. Schwain's lecture was titled "Modernity's Usable Pasts: James Weldon Johnson, Aaron Douglas, and Charles B. Falls's God's Trombones." Her lecture was preceded by an introduction by Luce Program Director, Peter Hawkins.
