Elie Wiesel On "The Jewishness of Jesus"

This week's show featured the last of three installments from the 23rd annual lecture series "The Fascination with Jewish Tales" by teacher, author, and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Elie Wiesel.

The topic of this last lecture by Wiesel is "In Religion: The Jewishness of Jesus: A Personal Interpretation."

Wiesel was first asked to talk about this subject almost a decade ago by then Boston University President John Silber. After reading about and researching the subject, Wiesel opines that Jesus "was a good Jew ... a very pious Jew."

Prior to his lecture, Wiesel was introduced by now Boston University President Emeritus John Silber.
