Longtime Friend Pays Tribute To Boris Nemtsov

Yevgenia Albats, Russian journalist and editor of The New Times in Moscow, gave an impromptu remembrance of her friend Boris Nemtsov Friday, just few hours hours after he was fatally shot on a Moscow street.

Albats delivered the memorial speech at an Institute of Global Leadership conference titled "Russia in the 21st Century" which took place at Tufts University.

"Boris was afraid that Putin was going to kill him," she said. "But he believed precisely because he was a member of the Russian government once, they wouldn't do that, because, in his own words, 'They wouldn't dare create a precedent.'"
