Only a few days before the start of opening arguments in the trial of accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, a divided federal appeals court has denied a petition to move the trial away from Boston.

The opinion of the three judge panel, with judges split 2-1, was released late Friday night. WBUR's David Boeri, who is covering the trial, explains the ruling.
