Gov. Charlie Baker has released his review of how the Department of Children and Families handled the case of a 7-year-old Hardwick boy. The child has been in a coma since mid-July. His father is accused of beating the boy, as well as refusing to give him food and water.

A DCF worker visited the boy's home two weeks before he fell into the coma, prompting the governor to order the review.

All Things Considered host Steve Brown talked with WBUR's Simón Rios, who was at the State House for the review's release.

This segment aired on September 4, 2015.
