OK, What’s This Quotation? The Boston Redevelopment Authority is seeking to extend its urban renewal powers through the next decade, in an effort to "catalyze development" during Boston's boom times.
But it's a subject weighed down by history, as Boston's West End was infamously razed in the 1950s and '60s in the name of urban renewal.
Now, the BRA acknowledging the history with an exhibit at the West End Museum that looks at the past — and the future — of urban renewal.
