Massachusetts Congressman Seth Moulton will meet with Syrian refugees and law enforcement officials on Tuesday afternoon in Boston.

The meeting comes amid the charged political debate in this country following the attacks in Paris, which led Republican governors of many states, including Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker, to say they don't want to resettle Syrian refugees, at least for the time being.

Moulton, on the other hand, voted against a bill last week to tighten screenings for Syrian and Iraqi refugees. That bill passed in the House. He joined Morning Edition to discuss his hopes for the meeting.

This segment aired on November 24, 2015.
