U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts rarely speaks in public when he is not presiding over the court. So his visit on Wednesday night to New England Law | Boston generated great excitement.

It may seem Roberts' has a lot to talk about, given the big cases before the court and the upcoming presidential campaign, but as WBUR's senior reporter David Boeri explains for Morning Edition, Roberts demonstrated once again why he's known as one of the most reticent justices.

Correction: An earlier version of this report used an earlier name for the law school; the school changed its name in 2008. We regret the error.
