Thousands In Eastern Massachusetts Without Power Saturday
Power companies have been working all day to restore power to customers after eastern Massachusetts saw its first significant snow storm of the season Friday.
Heavy, wet snow brought down trees and power lines in many areas of the state. By Saturday evening, about 26,000 customers were still without power in Massachusetts.
Eversource said they were bringing in crews from New Hampshire and western Massachusetts to repair what they are calling "significant damage" to their system in eastern parts of the state.
The state's Emergency Management Agency asks residents to report power outages to your utility company and to report downed wires by calling 9-1-1.

After the storm Friday, a young girl died and a man was critically injured by falling tree limbs, both in Canton.
Six-year-old Kaleigh Kenyon was playing in her yard when she was pinned under the branch. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.
A 48-year-old man whose name has not been released was tending to an outdoor hockey rink when a tree limb fell on him. Police said Saturday he was in critical condition at Boston Medical Center.
