In the forecast — it's all about Hermine. The remnants of the tropical cyclone are having an impact in southeastern Massachusetts. Up in the Greater Boston area, little has been seen other than winds from the storm.

A tropical storm warning remains in effect for Cape Cod and the Islands. Strong winds on the coastline and the Cape are expected to continue throughout Monday night. In the Boston area overnight, Hermine will bring some scattered showers.

The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency reports that about 2,400 customers are currently without power across the state — most of those outages are on Martha's Vineyard.

WBUR meteorologist David Epstein joined All Things Considered to discuss the effects of Hermine and what residents can expect after the system passes.

This segment aired on September 5, 2016.
