Baker Administration Fires High-Ranking Official After Internal Investigation Into Political Coercion

The Baker administration on Wednesday fired a high-ranking official at the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs after an investigation found he tried to coerce a subordinate to pressure her fiancé to drop his challenge to a Republican state senator.
