Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey is weighing in on the battle over a proposed Muslim cemetery in the central Massachusetts town of Dudley.

The town has said if it issues a permit for the cemetery, it might put the permit up for a town meeting vote.

In a letter on Thursday, Healey's office said that could be a violation of the Islamic Society of Greater Worcester's religious rights.

WBUR senior reporter David Boeri discusses the latest developments.

This segment aired on December 2, 2016.
