Portraits Of Boston: Happier Every Day

“Now that I’m older, I’m happy. I get happier and younger every day. When I was young, people thought of me as old. People used to say to me all the time, ‘What’s the matter?’ Strangers on the street would come up to me and ask me, ‘What’s the matter?’ ‘Nothing.’ I just had a very dark aspect. Now, people stop me on the street and tell me the opposite. You told me you stopped me because I was smiling.”
