Portraits Of Boston: 'He Did Great'

“Right now, my biggest struggle is sending my son to college. We are short $17,000. I just found out yesterday. He actually did great—he came up with $35,000 in grants and scholarships. But the school is $52,000.”

“That’s a lot of money.”

“Of course, my choice would be a state school, but he wants to study sports medicine, and that happened to be a good program for him. And I’m happy that he came up with everything but the seventeen. He did great. It’s because he is a good kid.”

“Do you have other children?”

“He is in middle school, so I don’t have to worry about that for at least another six years. And he has something to look forward to. That’s his actual hero that he can touch and be around. His brother is his hero.”
